The experience

The Ridge Run Tour takes you across a variety of terrains: desert washes, rocky hills, and sagebrush flats that extend across the Carson Valley. You operate the ATV yourself while your guides assist with navigation and help you read the landscape. The ride lasts 2 to 4 hours depending on the route and group pace, with time built in to stop and capture photos at the viewpoints that open up as you climb into the Pine Nut Mountains.

Pickup is included, so you don't arrange your own transport to the trailhead. You get a helmet, bottled water, and a bandana for the dust. The guides ride with you and know where the terrain shifts from smooth to technical, so they can point out the best lines and help you adjust your speed and technique as you move through each section. Groups stay small enough that the guide can keep an eye on everyone and adjust the day to the group's comfort level.
