Strap in, rise 350 feet above the water, then dip into the Gulf on the way down

Parasailing above Anna Maria Island is a 12-minute ride 350–400 feet above the water with a professional guide leading the activity. Arrive 15–20 minutes early for waivers and a safety briefing; the captain and crew handle the parachute setup and inflation. The optional water dip—recommended though not required—happens after your flight, and the boat returns to the dock once all passengers have parasailed.

The Experience

The boat leaves at the scheduled departure time once waivers are signed and the safety briefing is done. The captain and crew inflate the parachute, secure you in, and you rise 350–400 feet above the water for a 10–12 minute flight. The panoramic views of Anna Maria Island unfold below as you float; the adrenaline comes from the height and the silence up there, broken only by the sound of the water and the boat below.

One of the best parts is the optional dip. As the boat circles back, you can choose to touch down in the Gulf before being lifted back up and brought safely to the dock. It is recommended, though entirely up to you. Once everyone on board has had their turn in the air, the crew brings the boat back to shore.

The whole outing takes about 90 minutes from arrival to departure. Arrive 15–20 minutes ahead of your scheduled time so the paperwork and briefing do not rush. This activity suits all skill levels—no experience needed, just the willingness to step off a boat and into the sky.
