Alpaca Picnic in Seattle: Hand-Feed & Photo with Farm Animals
Alpacas will eat from your hand while you picnic among them.
An alpaca picnic is a two-hour shared group activity on a Seattle-area farm where you hand-feed alpacas and other farm animals, watch them graze nearby, and photograph them up close while you eat your own meal. You bring your own food and drinks. The farm provides the animal feed and a guide. Tours run in English or Spanish.

The experience
You arrive at a working farm outside Seattle and spend two hours in a peaceful setting surrounded by alpacas that wander freely around you. The animals are curious and gentle. They'll nuzzle up to you, sniff your hands, and eat from your palm when you offer them the special food the farm provides. Beyond the alpacas, you'll also meet and hand-feed goats, sheep, mini donkeys, and bunnies, so the experience spans the whole farm family rather than one species alone.
Bring your own lunch and drinks: the farm doesn't provide food for you, only for the animals. This setup means you can pack whatever suits your taste and dietary needs, and the farm is BYOB-friendly if you want to bring beer or wine. You settle in at your own pace while the alpacas graze and interact with each other around you, and the whole time you're free to snap photos of the animals as they move through the space. The farm also runs an optional alpaca wool boutique if you want to take home a sweater, plush toy or other gift after the picnic ends.
A live guide leads the experience and is available in English or Spanish. Groups are shared, so you'll be picnicking alongside other visitors, and all areas of the farm are wheelchair accessible. The two-hour window is fixed, so plan the rest of your Seattle day around that time slot.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English and Spanish.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
Can I bring my own food and drinks to the alpaca picnic?
Yes. You bring your own lunch and snacks. The farm provides only the food for the animals. Beer and wine are welcome, so you can make it a full picnic setup.
Will the alpacas actually eat from my hand?
Yes. The farm provides special alpaca food, and the animals are accustomed to eating from visitors' hands. They're gentle and curious, so hand-feeding is a core part of the experience.
What other animals will I meet besides the alpacas?
You'll also hand-feed and interact with goats, sheep, mini donkeys, and bunnies. The whole farm family participates in the picnic, not just the alpacas.
Is the farm accessible for wheelchairs?
Yes. All areas and surfaces of the farm are wheelchair accessible, and infants and small children can be brought in a pram or stroller.
How many people will be at the picnic with me?
It's a shared group experience, so other visitors will join you. The exact group size isn't specified, but it's designed as a communal farm visit rather than a private booking.
