The experience

You step out of the terminal at St Thomas airport and the driver is already there with your name on a sign, engine running, AC on. No hunting for a cab, no negotiating a fare at the curb, no waiting in a line that moves like it has nowhere to be. The car pulls away from the curb and you're moving toward Ritz Carlton while other passengers are still figuring out which taxi queue to join. It's the kind of small thing that matters after a flight. Someone else is handling the route, the timing, the navigation.

The vehicle is clean and comfortable, which sounds basic until you've been in a few airport taxis that aren't. Air conditioning actually works. The driver knows the route to Ritz Carlton and the roads around St Thomas: no wrong turns, no "let me check my phone." You can text or call ahead if your flight is delayed. The service tracks your arrival and adjusts the pickup time, so you're not paying for a car that's been sitting idle while you're still in the air. That responsiveness is what separates this from just hailing something on the street.

If you're traveling with small children, infant seats are available. You request them when you book, and they're installed and ready. The driver waits while you collect luggage and clear the terminal, then drives you directly to your hotel without stops. It's a private transfer, so you're not sharing the ride or waiting for other passengers to be dropped off first. From wheels down to checking in at Ritz Carlton usually takes under an hour, depending on traffic and how far the hotel is from the airport.
