The experience

You start with hotel pickup in the late afternoon and head into the Abu Dhabi Desert for dune bashing: the jeep climbs and descends the sand dunes at speed while you hold on. The drive takes you to a camel farm where you can ride and photograph the animals, then continues to the camp in the middle of the desert. On arrival, you're welcomed with Arabian tea and sweets, and the evening unfolds from there with views of the desert sunset from the dunes.

At the camp, a BBQ dinner is served with unlimited soft drinks, followed by a belly dance performance and the Tandoora show. You'll also have the chance to get henna painted and sit in a traditional Majlis: the customary desert gathering space. The tour wraps up with your transfer back to your hotel, ending around six hours after pickup.

The jeep holds a maximum of six guests, so the group stays small. Your guide speaks English throughout. Note that during Ramadan, the evening entertainment and alcohol service are not available, though the dune bashing, camel ride, and dinner still happen.
