The Experience

I’ll admit, I was nervous about the shoes. There’s a red carpet rolled out at the marina in Dubai, and I kept thinking I’d trip over it or something — but the crew just grinned and waved us on like we were regulars. At one point I tried to pronounce “Jumeirah” properly and got a polite correction from the crew. Still can’t get it right.
