The experience

The tour starts at your hotel and moves by private car through central Kyiv, stopping to walk key sites on foot. You'll see St. Sophia Cathedral, a UNESCO-listed building from the 11th century built under Yaroslav the Wise, then the restored St. Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery with its bright blue cupolas. The guide explains the history of each stop. The relics kept in St. Volodymyr's Cathedral, the story of the Golden Gates (ancient city entrance, now a replica above the ruins), and the monuments scattered through Shevchenko Park and Myhailivska Square.
