The experience

Pickup starts at 6:30am from your Kampala hotel. The drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park crosses the Uganda Equator, where you stop for photos before reaching the lodge in the late afternoon. After checking in and refreshing, you head out for an evening game drive to spot elephants, warthogs and other animals active in the cooler hours, then return for dinner and overnight.

The second day begins at 6am with an early morning game drive when wildlife is most active and the light is strongest. Afterward, you board a 2-hour boat trip on the Kazinga Channel, the waterway connecting Lakes Edward and George. The channel draws hippos, elephants, buffalo and waterbirds to drink and bathe. Sightings are frequent and close. After the boat returns, the drive back to Kampala takes around 7 hours, with stops as needed.

The lodge provides breakfast and dinner both nights. Your guide speaks English, Spanish or French and travels with you throughout. Private transportation means no shared vehicle or fixed group size: the tour adjusts to your party alone.
