The Calypso leaves from the backside of the island where the sun actually sets over the water, not from a crowded harbor. You cruise along Leeward Beach and out to the farthest point of the island, passing stretches of untouched beach where only private villas sit or nothing at all. The captain and deckhand point out what you're seeing as you move through the water.

Dinner is heavy appetizers (cheese trays, meat trays, fruit and snacks) served throughout the two-and-a-half-hour trip. The boat stocks French Champagne for a toast, plus beer, white wine, rum punch, sodas and water. You eat and drink from the outdoor seating, the wet bar, or one of the two sunpads, depending on where you want to be as the light changes. The back of the boat folds out into a couch if you want to recline.
