The experience
Two hours in the water means time to settle into the rhythm of the reef without rushing through a checklist of stops. The captain chooses the snorkeling location on the day you arrive, watching the conditions and visibility to put you where the water is clearest and safest. This is not a fixed itinerary. It is a response to what the ocean is doing that morning. You get mask, snorkel, fins, and an inflatable snorkel vest, so the gear is sorted before you step aboard.
The snorkeling itself is open-water exploration: you move along the reef just below the surface, taking in coral formations and the natural character of the site as it exists that day. Wildlife presence and conditions vary naturally, which is part of what makes this a real ocean experience rather than a controlled one. The boat stays small enough to move flexibly, and the focus is on comfort and safety rather than hitting a set number of attractions.
Water and all snorkeling equipment are included. You'll need to be able to swim, enter and exit the boat using the ladder with minimal help, and have at least a moderate level of fitness for the water entry and time in the ocean. Non-swimmers cannot snorkel but can stay on the boat. Tours depart one hour after your ship arrives, so timing is built around cruise schedules.

What if I can't swim?
Non-swimmers cannot snorkel but are welcome to stay on the boat during the snorkeling portion. You'll still be part of the group and can enjoy the open-water setting and the boat experience.
How does the captain decide where to snorkel?
The captain watches real-time sea conditions and visibility on the morning of your tour and picks one reef site that offers the best possible experience that day. This approach means you're snorkeling where conditions are actually best, not at a preset location.
