The experience
You're picked up from your hotel in Sarıgerme at 9am and driven to Gocek Marina, where you board a shared boat with other travelers. The boat departs at 10am and heads into Gocek Bay, stopping first at Büyükova Bay around 10:30 for swimming and snorkeling in turquoise water. The guide is there to answer questions, but the rhythm is yours: snorkel as long as you want, sunbathe on deck, or stay in the water. By noon you've moved to Bedri Rahmi Bay, where the water is equally clear and there's an optional short walk to see rock paintings if you'd rather leave the boat for a few minutes.
Lunch arrives at 1:30pm on board. A freshly prepared meal served while you're anchored in a sheltered bay. After eating, the boat heads to Aquarium Bay, known for abundant fish and visibility that makes underwater photography possible. This is the last major snorkeling stop. The boat then makes a final stop for swimming and photos before heading back to Gocek Marina around 5pm. You're back in Sarıgerme by 6pm. The boat rule is firm: no outside food or drink is allowed for health reasons, so plan accordingly if you have dietary needs beyond what's served.
A shared tour means you'll travel with other guests, typically families and small groups. The boat is described as comfortable and luxurious, and the guide speaks English throughout the day.
