You're behind the wheel on Marmaris's largest off-road track

Marmaris Buggy Safari is an off-road activity where you drive your own buggy through the countryside around Marmaris, navigating rocky terrain, water crossings and steep hills. The experience runs about an hour and includes hotel pickup with air-conditioned transport, a live guide in English, Arabic, Russian or Turkish, and full insurance. You operate the vehicle yourself with expert guidance on hand throughout.

The experience

You start at your hotel, where an air-conditioned vehicle picks you up and takes you to the largest buggy track in the area. Once there, you get behind the wheel of a specially designed off-road buggy and drive it yourself through the Marmaris countryside. The guide stays with you to point out local flora and fauna and to make sure you're safe as you tackle rocky terrain, splash through water crossings and climb steep hills. This is not a ride-along tour. You're operating the buggy the whole time.

The track itself is built for off-road driving, so the buggies handle the rugged ground without needing special skill on your part. You'll meet locals along the way and learn about how people live in the area, which adds something beyond just the adrenaline of driving. The full insurance covers you for the duration, so the risk is managed before you ever turn the key.

The whole outing takes about an hour from start to finish. Infants can come along if they sit on an adult's lap, and the activity suits all fitness levels, though it's not recommended for pregnant travelers or anyone with cardiovascular concerns. When you're done, the same transport takes you back to your hotel.
