Horseback riding in Antalya on Lara Beach and through the forest, with hotel pickup and a trained guide. No prior riding experience is required. You ride for roughly an hour, moving from the forest to the water's edge where you can photograph the coastline and swim if you want.

The experience

Hotel pickup gets you to Lara Beach in an air-conditioned vehicle, where your guide meets you with trained horses that follow each other throughout the ride. The route moves through the forest first, then opens onto the beach itself. You spend the hour in the saddle: the guide stays with you the whole time and handles any questions about handling the horse or the terrain. Swimmers can dismount and take a dip in the sea during the ride. The choice is yours.

Four photographs are included free, taken during the ride by your guide. Bring bottled water (provided) and wear clothes you don't mind getting wet or dusty. The activity suits all fitness levels, and children from age one can ride if held by an adult. Pregnant travelers and anyone with spinal or cardiovascular concerns should check with a doctor first, since the motion of riding does carry physical demands even at an easy pace.
