The experience

The tour starts with hotel pickup from Belek and heads inland to Cappadocia, where the first day takes you through the underground city (a network of chambers carved into the rock), and past rock-cut churches built into the stone formations. You'll stay overnight at a 4-star hotel in Cappadocia, with breakfast and dinner included both nights.

Day two moves through the valleys and landmarks that define the region. Göreme National Park and the Göreme Open-Air Museum show the scale of the rock-cut architecture. Uchisar Castle sits on a hilltop overlooking the valleys. The route then passes through Devrent Valley, Pigeon Valley (named for the dovecotes carved into the cliffs), and the Fairy Chimneys, the cone-shaped rock formations that rise across the landscape. Avanos, a pottery center, is also on the itinerary. A guide travels with the group and speaks English or Russian, and hotel drop-off in Belek closes the tour on day two.
