The experience

You arrive at a working sand sculpture site where the current theme, Space Adventure & Time Travel, unfolds chronologically across the beach. The sculptures are the result of three weeks of work by international artists, and they cover everything from humanity's earliest space ambitions through contemporary missions. Star Wars characters, Wall-E, Avatar, Guardians of the Galaxy, and The Fifth Element are all rendered in sand at monumental scale, alongside a dedicated rockets of the world exhibition. The sheer size of the pieces and the area they occupy (roughly the footprint of a football field) makes this one of the largest sand sculpture events on earth.

The museum operates year-round, so you can visit whenever your schedule allows.
