The experience

The boat leaves from Alanya harbor and heads along the coast toward the first swimming stop in front of the Alanya Shipyard, the medieval fortress that once gave Sultan Alaaddin Keykubat the title of "sultan of the two seas." The second swim happens at Cleopatra Beach. Between the two stops, the boat passes Lovers Cave, where legend says ancient pirates hid their treasure and captives, and then reaches Pirates Cave itself, the actual loot store used by seafarers in antiquity. The Phosphoric Cave comes next: a natural chamber so bright with phosphoric minerals that its glow shows even in daylight. At this stop, you can feed the vegetarian piranhas that live there (they eat only bread).

The route also passes Reach Beach, known for its unusual architecture, and circles back toward the Red Tower, a 13th-century Mediterranean defense structure that rises from the peninsula. The boat carries families with children, who get a foam party and animation shows during the tour. Table seating on the lower deck keeps groups together, and soda, coffee and tea are served throughout the three hours. A live guide narrates in your choice of English, French, German or Arabic.
