The experience

Fish are already moving through the water when you step into the acrylic tunnel at Underwater World Pattaya. The 105-meter passage wraps around you with a 180-degree view: Black Tip Reef Sharks, Big Eye Jack, and the Fat Giant Grouper drift past at eye level, close enough that you notice how they turn. You're not watching them from outside glass. You're inside their space. The tunnel is the centerpiece, but it's one of nine zones you move through at your own pace, so you can linger or move on whenever you want.

The Touch Pool Zone lets you handle starfish and sea urchins pulled from Thailand's coastal rock pools: kids usually go straight there, and honestly, it's the part people remember longest. The Magic Tank is stranger: it's Thailand's only Mystical Gravity Interactive tank, which sounds like marketing until you see it, and then you're not entirely sure what you're looking at.
