The experience

"The sharks don't care about you, but you'll care about them," our guide said as we stepped into the 270-degree tunnel at SEA LIFE Bangkok. And she was right. The moment you're inside that curved glass, surrounded by water on three sides and sharks gliding past your face, the rest of Siam Paragon disappears. The aquarium sits on the B1 and B2 floors, tucked below the mall's ground level, which means you descend into a different world entirely. It's not a quick walk-through. The tunnel alone takes time, and then there are the zones branching off from it.

The place holds 30,000 marine animals across themed sections, and you move through them at your own pace. Penguins in an icy habitat, jellyfish that glow under the limited-time Glowing Ocean lighting, seahorses in the reef zone, and then the Rainforest section with creatures that have nothing to do with the ocean but somehow belong there anyway.
