The experience

The catamaran picks you up from your Phuket hotel between 8:00 and 8:20 AM, then heads to Royal Phuket Marina for a safety briefing and light breakfast at the pier. By 10:00 AM you're at Maya Bay (or viewing it from the boat if it's closed for its annual recovery from August through September), then moving on to Viking Cave and Pileh Lagoon. The boat stops at Monkey Island for a look at its wild population before anchoring around Phi Phi Don for snorkeling in the mid-morning.

Lunch is a buffet served on Phi Phi Don Island, and afterward you have time to walk around the main island of the Phi Phi archipelago. By 2:20 PM the catamaran reaches Bamboo Island, where you can swim and rest on soft sand for over an hour. The return journey to Royal Phuket Marina starts around 4:30 PM, with hotel drop-off between 5:30 and 6:00 PM. The boat runs with 2 or 4 engines depending on passenger numbers, designed to move smoothly and efficiently through the turquoise waters between islands.

Complimentary breakfast, drinks, snacks and lunch are all on board or included at the restaurant stop. Snorkeling gear and life jackets are provided, along with free Wi-Fi.
