You start at your hotel in Krabi or Ao Nang, where the operator picks you up and drives you to the horse farm at Ao Nammao. When you arrive, the owner assesses your riding experience and pairs you with a horse suited to your level. The guide explains how to ride, and if you're confident, you ride alone. If you need help, the guide walks with the horse to keep you safe. The beach here is long and wide, with plenty of room to move and interesting sights along the way.

The one-hour ride happens at sunset, so you're watching the light change over the Andaman Sea the whole time. The coastline gives you a natural backdrop for photos. Afterward, you stay on the beach for a barbecue dinner, eating while the light fades. The staff are English-speaking, experienced, and safety-conscious. Horses are well cared for.
