The experience
Getting to the Serengeti without a car means flying, and this safari handles that seamlessly: you depart Zanzibar in the morning, land at Seronera Airstrip, and meet your guide with a custom safari jeep the same day. The first afternoon is already a game drive across the vast plains: the Serengeti covers 14,763 square kilometers and holds nearly 3 million large animals, many moving through the Great Migration cycle. Your guide knows where to find them and steers the vehicle toward the big cats and key moments you came to see.
Days two and three are full-day game drives through the Central Serengeti. Early mornings catch predators in action. The rest of the day follows the wildlife as it moves across the endless plains. Breakfast happens in the bush or back at camp, and a packed hot lunch travels with you in the jeep. The safari vehicle has a pop-up roof, large windows, charging sockets, and a fridge for drinks. Everything stays cold, and you never miss a sighting because of a pillar in the way. Your guide speaks English and knows the park's rhythms. The drives are flexible, so you spend more time where the action is and less time on empty stretches.
On the final morning, one last game drive before heading to Seronera Airstrip for your flight back to Zanzibar. Flights depart around 11:00 am or 2:30 pm, so you choose the timing that gives you the most hours in the field. Kiriche Luxury Camp, where you stay all three nights, sits along the Orangi River in the Central Serengeti: close enough to the best game viewing but far enough into the bush to feel like you're in the heart of it.

Is this one for you?Four days is long enough to move beyond the first-day rush and settle into the rhythm of the Serengeti, but short enough to fit into a week-long trip to Tanzania. The private guide and flexible timing mean you're not locked into a group schedule or a fixed itinerary. If the big cats are active in one area, you stay there. If the light is best at a certain hour, the drive adjusts. This works for travelers who want depth over breadth and don't want to spend their safari time waiting for a group to finish a photo stop.

How much time do I actually spend on game drives each day?
Day one includes an afternoon drive after you arrive. Days two and three are full-day drives with an early morning start, breakfast in the bush, and a packed lunch during the drive. Day four is an early morning drive before your flight. The exact timing is flexible and depends on where the wildlife is and what your guide finds.
What's the Serengeti like in terms of wildlife sightings?
The Serengeti holds nearly 3 million large animals year-round, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, and countless other species. The park's 14,763 square kilometers of open plains mean animals are visible across vast distances. Your guide focuses on big cats and key wildlife moments, so the drives are built around sightings rather than just driving through empty landscape.
What does Kiriche Luxury Camp include?
Kiriche sits along the Orangi River in the Central Serengeti and offers elegant tents with comfort amenities. Breakfast and dinner are served at the camp. Lunch travels with you in the jeep during game drives. All meals accommodate dietary requests, and unlimited water, soft drinks, beer, and wine are provided in the safari vehicle.
Do I need to arrange my own flights to Tanzania?
The round-trip domestic flight from Zanzibar to Seronera Airstrip and back to Dar es Salaam is included. International flights to and from Tanzania are separate. You arrange those independently and arrive in Zanzibar before your safari begins.
