Danny, your guide, builds this tour around what you want to eat and where you want to spend your evening. Tell him whether you prefer local spicy food, Western, Indian, Arabic or fusion cuisine, and the kind of atmosphere you're after (cozy reggae bars, fancy lounges, or city-centre nightclubs), and he'll map out a route that hits those spots. You're not locked into a fixed itinerary. The tour moves through different neighbourhoods and venues so you taste the range of what Dar es Salaam offers, unless you'd rather stay put in one place.

The day can start around 10:30am or whenever suits you, beginning with local food and a chance to settle in before moving through markets, beach bars and progressively into the city's nightlife. You'll use public transportation to get between stops, and Danny handles those fares. Dinner at a local restaurant or his home is included. Drinks after the evening meal are on you. The whole experience runs anywhere from ten to sixteen hours depending on how late you want to stay out and how many stops you want to make.
