The Experience

The safari opens in Tarangire National Park, Tanzania's third-largest park, where the year-round Tarangire River concentrates wildlife—elephants, predators and prey gather at the water's edge for game viewing. After breakfast at your hotel you travel with picnic lunches and spend the night at Fanaka campsite. Day two takes you through the highland farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area before descending into the Serengeti. You arrive at the Seronera area, known for its river and the density of species it attracts, in time for lunch at Nabi gate and a two-hour afternoon game drive. The night is at Seronera Camp.

Day three begins with an early morning game drive in the Serengeti, then brunch and a hot lunch back at camp. The afternoon continues with game viewing as you travel toward Ngorongoro Crater, watching for wildlife en route. You reach the crater rim late in the evening and stay at Ngorongoro Simba Campsite. On the final day, an early breakfast precedes a 5–6 hour crater floor tour with picnic lunch, where the concentration of animals—including the Big Five—is highest. The tour ends with an evening return to town and drop-off at the airport.
