The Experience

The Lindt Home of Chocolate has a fountain so tall and so loaded with melted chocolate that you'll stand there for a moment wondering if it's real. It is. But before you get there, your driver-guide picks you up and takes you through Zurich in a way that makes sense—not rushed, not a checklist. You pass the National Museum (castle-like, hard to miss), then Bahnhofstrasse with its shops, and the financial district that actually looks like money lives there. The real stop is Enge harbour, where you can stand and look at Lake Zurich without anything between you and the water.

Then comes the cogwheel train up to Zürichberg, which is a small thing but changes how you see the city.
