The experience

The day starts in Geneva, where your guide shares the region's history as you travel along Lake Geneva toward Lavaux. The route passes the charming lakeside towns of Nyon, Coppet and Lausanne before arriving at the vineyards. Once there, you walk through Saint-Saphorin, a medieval village of narrow stone streets perched above the lake, learning how it has shaped winemaking from Gallo-Roman times to today.

At the first winery (an organic producer in the heart of Lavaux). You tour the cellar and taste wines made with eco-friendly methods, each one shaped by the region's unique terroir. The second tasting happens at a traditional Swiss wine producer in Féchy, above Rolle. Between the two, you walk among the sun-kissed terraces themselves, the slopes sculpted by generations of vintners, with panoramic views of Lake Geneva and the Alps stretching across the horizon. Your guide explains the secrets of these 1,000-year-old vineyards as you move through them.

Lunch arrives in the afternoon at a local restaurant in Grandvaux, where you sit with views over the vineyards and the lake. A three-course meal (salad, main course, and dessert) uses fresh regional ingredients. Drinks are extra. After lunch, you board a Belle-Époque boat at Vevey for a scenic cruise on Lake Geneva, watching the vineyards recede from the water while your guide shares facts and local legends about the lake and its shores. The boat takes you to Lausanne, where a van returns you to Geneva.
