Malmö Windsurfing Beginner Class: Learn on Adjustable Gear
The board and sail adjust to match your skill, not the other way around.
A beginner windsurfing class in Malmö where you learn sailing theory on shore, then practice on the water with an instructor using Dynamic Windsurfing gear: a system designed so the board shape and sail size adapt to your progress and the weather. The course runs 2.5 hours and includes a wetsuit, personal flotation device and all equipment. Children from age 6 are welcome, and the instructor teaches in English or Swedish.

The experience
The class starts with theory on land: basic sailing, safety and technique before you touch the water. Your instructor then takes you out to practice what you've learned, staying with you both on shore and in the water to build your confidence and catch mistakes early. The Dynamic Windsurfing system means the gear itself changes as you improve (a smaller board or different sail size when you're ready), so you're not fighting equipment that doesn't fit your ability.
You get a wetsuit and personal flotation device for the session, and all the windsurfing gear is included. The school has taught windsurfing courses in this region since 2000 and structures lessons in five levels, so if you catch the sport, you can book follow-up classes at stronger wind spots with bigger waves and smaller boards. This first session assumes no experience. A second beginner class is recommended once you've completed the first.
What’s included

Is this one for you?You learn on the board yourself, not by watching: the instructor guides you in the water and adjusts the gear to your progress, so the class suits anyone starting from zero who wants hands-on teaching rather than a lecture or a group demo.

What do I actually do during the 2.5 hours?
You spend the first part on shore learning sailing theory, safety and basic technique with your instructor, then move into the water to practice. The instructor stays with you both on land and offshore to guide your progress and keep you safe.

No experience is needed for the first beginner class. You wear a personal flotation device throughout, and the instructor teaches you in the water. Children from age 6 are welcome.
What makes the Dynamic Windsurfing gear different?
The board shape and sail size adjust to match your skill level and the weather conditions, so you're not struggling with equipment that's too advanced or the wrong size for where you are in learning.
What happens after this class if I want to keep going?
The school offers a five-level progression system. A second beginner class is recommended once you finish the first, and as you improve, you can book lessons at windier spots with bigger waves and smaller boards.
Is there a minimum fitness level required?
You should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness. The class involves balance, paddling and time in the water, so some conditioning helps, but the instructor adapts the pace to your ability.
