The experience

Universeum is built around one ticket that opens access to everything at once: the aquarium, the science exhibits, the zoo animals and the interactive labs all in the same building. You move between a rainforest walk where monkeys and sloths live, a Chemistry Lab where you conduct your own experiments, a Humans exhibit focused on the body and heart, Mathrix where mathematics becomes visible, and planetarium-style experiences that take you to the moon and out into space. The Rainforest section has uneven terrain and stairs, so strollers don't work there, but the rest of the museum is wheelchair accessible and designed for visitors of all ages.

Live animal talks happen throughout the day, and you can join a guided tour if you want someone to walk you through the connections between the exhibits: how chemistry links to biology, how human innovation shapes what we see in nature, how everything in the universe relates. If you need a break, the on-site restaurant and café are there. Miniverseum is a dedicated area for infants and small children, and the whole site is set up so strollers work everywhere except the Rainforest itself. A typical visit runs around two and a half hours, though you can stay longer if you want to linger at any exhibit.
