Rainforest Waterfall Hike Nevis: Swim at remote pools
The trail splits after the first waterfall so you decide how far to push.
A guided rainforest hike on the eastern side of Nevis where you walk to multiple waterfalls, swim in their pools, and choose whether to continue past the first one. The route is moderate to challenging depending on which waterfalls you reach, and a private vehicle picks you up and takes you into the remote countryside. Sturdy footwear and a moderate level of fitness are needed because the trail crosses rocks and tree roots.

The experience
After pickup in a private air-conditioned vehicle, you're driven to the remote eastern side of Nevis and guided into the rainforest. The walk to the first waterfall is moderate: rocky underfoot, tree roots crossing the path, the canopy closing in as you go deeper. Your guide, Ras Derrick, points out the flora and fauna along the way. When you reach the first waterfall, you can swim in its pool and rest in the cool, lush surroundings.
From there, the choice is yours. If you're confident in your fitness and want to push further, the trail becomes slightly more challenging as it climbs toward several more waterfalls. If you'd rather stay put, you can relax by the first pool while the rest of the group continues on and returns to meet you. Either way, you're moving at your own pace through a part of Nevis most visitors never see, with someone who knows the rainforest and its stories.
What’s included

Top questions
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What's the hike actually like on the ground?
The trail to the first waterfall is moderate, crossing rocks and tree roots, so you need sturdy footwear and sure-footedness. Beyond that, the path gets slightly steeper and more challenging, but you only go as far as you want to.
Can I swim in the waterfall pools?
Yes, you can take a plunge in the first waterfall's refreshing pool, and if you continue on the trail, you'll reach several more waterfalls where you can swim as well.
What if I'm not sure I can do the whole hike?
You don't have to. After the first waterfall, you can stay and relax by the pool while others in the group continue on to the higher waterfalls. Your guide will return to meet you, so there's no pressure to go further than you're comfortable.
How long does the whole experience take?
The tour runs for about four hours from pickup to drop-off, which includes the drive to the trailhead, the hike itself, and time to swim and rest at the waterfalls.
What should I bring or wear?
Wear sturdy footwear with good grip: hiking boots or trail shoes work best. Bring swimwear, a towel, and water. The rainforest is cool and lush, but you'll be active, so dress for movement and bring sun protection for any open sections.
