The day starts with a one-hour drive north from Valencia to Fanzara, a village that became an open-air gallery during MIAU, the "Unfinished Museum of Urban Art." Over 150 murals and graffiti pieces by international artists cover the streets (political, poetic, sometimes bizarre) woven into everyday village life rather than isolated in a museum. You wander at your own pace while your guide points out the stories behind the work, then regroup for a coffee break before heading to Montanejos.

The drive to Montanejos passes through mountain landscapes that make the journey itself part of the day. Once there, you stop for lunch, then walk a mostly flat riverside path to Fuente de los Baños, where warm spring water emerges from limestone cliffs and meets the cool mountain air. The water stays warm year-round, and the setting (surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation and rock formations) is where most travelers either swim or wade in the shallows. If you bring swimwear and water shoes, the springs are deep enough to float. If you prefer to stay dry, the walk and the view are the draw.
