The experience

What makes this different from a fixed-route tour is that you're not following someone else's itinerary. You arrive at the beach meeting point, board a sporty catamaran with your captain, and tell him where you want to go. The boat holds up to 12 people comfortably, and snorkeling equipment is already on board: mask, fins and snorkel included. The skipper knows the coves and beaches around Palma and handles all the navigation while you decide how long to stay at each stop.

The boat has refrigerators on board, so you can bring drinks and snacks to keep cool. Food and beverages aren't provided, but you're welcome to pack whatever you like. Fuel isn't included in the rental price. You'll settle that cost directly with the skipper when you return to the meeting point, based on how far you've traveled. The meeting point is at the beach in the boat rental area. Arrive early enough to find parking, as street parking can be tight. Your sailing time is fixed, so if you arrive late, the duration shortens to keep the next booking on schedule.

Sessions run 3, 4, or 6 hours depending on which option you book. The boat returns to the same beach where you started. Public transportation is available nearby if you prefer not to drive, and the experience suits all fitness levels: infants can join if they sit on an adult's lap.

Top questions

What happens if it rains?

It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.

Can I snorkel on this catamaran rental?

Yes. Snorkeling equipment is included on board, so you have masks, fins and snorkels ready to use at whichever coves or beaches you choose to visit.

Do I need to know how to sail, or does the skipper handle everything?

The skipper handles all navigation and boat operation. You just tell the captain where you'd like to go, and he takes you there while you relax or prepare to snorkel.

What should I bring on the catamaran?

Bring food, drinks and any personal items you want for the day. The boat has refrigerators to keep things cold. Sunscreen, towels and a change of clothes are also smart to pack. Do not bring fuel cost. You'll pay that to the skipper at the end based on your route.

How many people can fit on the boat?

The catamaran holds up to 12 people, so it works for families, small groups or friends traveling together.

What happens if I arrive late to the meeting point?

If you arrive after your booked start time, the sailing duration will be shortened to stay on schedule for the next booking. Plan to arrive early, especially since parking near the beach can be difficult.
