You ride the open-top deck and build the day yourself, one stop at a time.

A 24 or 48-hour hop-on hop-off bus tour of Santa Cruz de Tenerife on an iconic red double-decker with open-top views, audio guide commentary in 11 languages, and stops at 13 major sights including Plaza de España, Palmetum, the Auditorium and Nuestra Señora de Africa Market. Buses run every 25 minutes from 9:30am to 6:15pm, and you hop off and back on as many times as you like. The 48-hour ticket adds free entry to the Museum of Nature and Archaeology, plus food and drink discounts at restaurants and cafés across the city.

The Experience

The red bus leaves Stop 1 every 25 minutes starting at 9:30am, and you can board at any of the 13 stops along the route whenever you're ready. The open-top deck gives you 360-degree views as the bus moves through the city, and the audio guide plays in 11 languages—English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and seven others—so you hear stories about what you're passing without needing a separate headset. Kids get commentary in five languages too. You hop off at Plaza de España, Palmetum, the Auditorium, Garcia Sanabria Park, the Military Museum, the Carnival House, or any other stop that interests you, spend as long as you want there, and catch the next bus when you're done.

The 24-hour ticket covers a full day of riding and hopping; the 48-hour ticket doubles that window and adds free admission to the Museum of Nature and Archaeology (MUNA), plus a longer list of restaurant and café discounts—free sangria or local beer at La Mordidita, a glass of wine at Cayote Restaurant in the Hotel Taburiente, a free tapa at El Corte Ingles Cafeteria, and 10% off at restaurants like Atlantis, Tikka and La Cuadra del Palmero. You also get a free topping at Häagen Dazs and discounts at the Museum of Illusions and the Meridiano Shopping Centre. Vouchers work on mobile or paper and can be redeemed at any stop; you can use them any day within 12 months of your booking date.

The buses are wheelchair accessible and suitable for all fitness levels. Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller. If you book a 48-hour ticket with hotel pickup and drop-off, that's arranged separately at checkout. The tour runs Monday to Saturday, 9:30am to 9:30pm, and you can present your City Sightseeing ticket at El Corte Ingles for free parking and a 10% reward card.
