The experience

The day starts at Marina Valencia, where you board a sailboat and head out toward the open water. You'll sail past Malvarrosa Beach and along the Valencia coastline, taking in views of the city skyline and the working harbor. The boat carries a small bar, stereo, bathrooms and a deck shower, so there's room to move and refresh as the day goes on.

Pobla Marina is where the crew stops for lunch: roughly midway through the five hours. You can eat on board or walk to one of the restaurants at the port and order a paella or other local dishes. The choice is yours. After eating, you head back out for another 40 minutes of sailing to return to Pobla Marina. SUP paddle boards are available if you want to get in the water, and the bar stays open throughout.

The guide speaks English or Spanish, so the commentary and safety briefing come in whichever language suits your group. Weather can affect the bathroom facilities at Malvarrosa Beach, and the boat is suitable for all fitness levels: infants can sit on an adult's lap, and strollers are welcome on board.
