The market opens early most days if you want to add that stop, and it runs Monday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

You'll walk the old town on foot, so wear comfortable shoes. The route is wheelchair accessible, and strollers work fine if you're traveling with small children. Public transport stops are nearby if you need to get back quickly, and the guide will know the best way.
