Step-by-step itinerary
Olive grove and oil mill visit
- Walk through olive groves
- Visit olive oil mill
- See winery and packaging room
The experience
The tour starts at a working mill set inside a 250-hectare olive plantation. You walk through the groves to see how the trees are cultivated, then move through the production spaces (the mill itself, the winery and the packaging room) to watch how the olives become oil. The whole experience takes about 90 minutes, so it fits easily into a morning or afternoon without eating up the rest of your day in the city.
At the end, you taste two of the estate's extra virgin olive oils. Each tasting comes with bread, almonds and a paired snack that changes by season: cheese or ham, depending on what's available. The mill is wheelchair accessible, and the operator can adapt the walking route if you need it. Strollers work for infants, and service animals are welcome.
