The Experience

The show starts at 5:45 pm with 20 horses, riders, horsewomen and flamenco dancers moving through a series of choreographed numbers. The performance draws on classical equestrian ballet and Doma Vaquera repises — the old Spanish riding disciplines — set to traditional music and costumed in the style of historical Andalusia. José Carlos González Guerrero, who directs the show and rides in it, won the Spanish championship in 2009 and has taken gold medals at the Sicab, one of the equestrian world's most important competitions. This same show has run uninterrupted every Wednesday for more than 30 years at Club Hípico El Ranchito in Torremolinos.

A private air-conditioned coach picks you up at your chosen point — Málaga city centre, Torremolinos, Benalmadena or Fuengirola — and brings you to the venue. The 90-minute performance unfolds with individual seating, free wifi throughout the grounds, and access to the club's facilities. A guide travels with your group and speaks English, Spanish, French or German. After the show ends, the same coach returns you to your pickup location.

The bar and shop on site accept cash only. Infants and small children can bring a pram or stroller, and service animals are welcome. Public transport runs near the venue if you prefer to make your own way back.
