The Experience
The shuttle picks you up from your hotel at 6 pm in summer (April–October) or 4 pm in winter (November–March) and takes you to Marina Puerto del Carmen. Once aboard the Biosfera Jet, you spend the next 2.5 hours on the water, moving through the Atlantic in search of dolphins, whales and other marine mammals. The crew gives detailed information about the cetacean species you might see, turning the search itself into something you understand as it unfolds.
As the sun drops toward the horizon, the boat slows and the crew brings out champagne and pastries—included in the price, served while you're standing on deck watching the light change. The return journey takes you back to Puerto del Carmen, where the shuttle waits to drive you back to your hotel. The whole day, from pickup to drop-off, is arranged; you show up at your accommodation and the rest follows.
