The Experience

The boat rocks gently under your feet as the crew hands you the wheel. You're not a passenger watching from the sidelines — you're steering a 12-person catamaran along Lanzarote's southern edge, feeling the sail catch the wind from the north. The motor stays off except for leaving and entering the port. It's just wind, water, and the weight of the boat responding to what you do with the wheel. If the wind shifts east, the route changes and you sail toward Isla de Lobos in Fuerteventura instead.
