You’ll feel Ibiza’s wild side as you sail along its west coast with drinks flowing, music playing, and plenty of chances to swim or paddle board in hidden coves. With fresh fruit always within reach and a local guide sharing stories, you’ll probably wish this 3-hour boat trip could last all day.
We stepped onto the boat at San Antonio port and right away I caught that salty tang in the air — you know, when it’s just enough to make you want to breathe deeper. The crew waved us aboard (one of them had a grin like he’d already had his first sangria), and we found these soft lounge beds that felt like they’d been warming up just for us. I tossed my shoes in a corner and tried to act cool about the Bluetooth speakers playing some old-school Ibiza tunes. There was this bowl of pineapple and melon slices on the bar — so sweet it almost made my teeth ache.
Our guide, Maria, pointed out Cala Bassa as we drifted past — she said locals come here before sunset for good luck. I didn’t expect to actually jump off the boat but somehow there I was, toes curled over the edge, counting down with a bunch of strangers who suddenly felt like friends. The water was colder than I thought (woke me right up), but floating there looking back at Ibiza’s cliffs… yeah, I still think about that view. Someone handed me a paddle board and I wobbled around while Li tried to teach me how not to fall — didn’t totally work but we laughed anyway.
There was time for kayaking too (the paddles are heavier than they look) and snorkeling near Islas Margarita where tiny silver fish darted around our feet. Every so often someone would shout “fruit break!” and pass around more oranges or peaches. The sun started dipping behind Café del Mar and honestly, watching the crowds from out on the water felt like being let in on some secret. We lingered longer than planned because nobody really wanted it to end — not even Maria, who kept pouring more sangria as if that might slow down time.
