Ibiza Sunset Boat Tour: Paddle Board, Kayak & Snorkeling
Three hours on Ibiza's west coast, drinks in hand, watching the sun drop into the sea
You board a chartered boat in San Antonio, cruise Ibiza's west coast for three hours, and anchor in crystal-clear coves like Cala Bassa or Cala Conta to snorkel, paddle board or kayak. All drinks — sangria, mojitos, beer, wine, champagne — fresh fruit and Spanish tapas are included. If you choose the sunset departure, you'll watch the sun drop into the sea near Café Del Mar with a glass in hand before returning to port around 8:30 p.m.

The Experience
The boat pulls away from San Antonio port around 5 p.m., depending on the season, and the first thing you notice is how quiet it is — no engine roar, just the sound system playing softly and the water lapping against the hull. You're on a chartered boat built for this: lounge beds with adjustable sun and shade, a wet bar stocked with sangria, mojitos, beer, wine, champagne and soft drinks, plus fresh fruit — melon, pineapple, oranges, peaches — laid out on deck. The boat has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth speakers, so if you want to queue your own music, you can. Most people just sit.
The route hugs Ibiza's west coast, passing Cala Gracioneta, Cala Comte and Cala Salada before anchoring in one of the main stops — usually Cala Bassa or Cala Conta, depending on the day and conditions. This is where you get in the water. Snorkeling gear is provided, and the water is clear enough that you'll see small fish and rock formations without much effort. If you'd rather not snorkel, paddle boards and kayaks are available, or you can just swim. Some people do all three. The crew doesn't rush you; you stay anchored for as long as feels right.
If you've booked the sunset slot, the boat heads back toward San Antonio as the light starts to change, and you'll be somewhere near Café Del Mar or Mambo when the sun actually hits the horizon — the part people come for. You're holding a glass of something cold, the sky is turning orange and pink, and the whole thing feels less like a tour and more like someone invited you to their boat for the evening. Spanish tapas come out at some point, and the crew keeps the drinks flowing until you're back at the port, probably around 8:30 or 9 p.m.
The boat itself is the real difference here: it's not a party boat or a crowded catamaran. Groups stay small, the sound system is decent, and the lounge beds mean you're not sitting on a bench. If you're traveling with infants or small children, strollers are fine, and specialized infant seats are available. The whole thing is designed to feel unhurried, which on Ibiza is its own kind of luxury.
