The experience
You arrive at Ibiza Hike Station ready to move, and the guide meets you with a backpack and hiking poles already fitted to your frame. The hike runs three hours across ancient farmers' and fishermen's trails that climb toward either Es Vedrà or the Atlantis pools (two of the island's most photographed sites), but the route itself is the smaller half of what happens. The guide builds in periods of silent walking where you move without talking, sharpening attention to the ground, the light, the sound of your own breath and footfall. That silence is the work.
When you reach the vantage point (Es Vedrà rising from the sea or the Atlantis pools nested in the rock), the guide calls a stop. You sit or stand for seven minutes without instruction, without a script, without the need to feel anything in particular. The meditation is not guided. It is just you and the scale of what you are looking at. The guide speaks English, Spanish, French, German and three other languages, so the instruction before and after the silence lands in whatever tongue you think in.
The hike adapts to your group's fitness and pace. Families hike it, solo travelers hike it, groups of friends hike it. The minimum booking is five people, but if you are traveling alone or in a smaller party, you book for five and the guide shapes the day around whoever shows up. Bring water (it is not provided), and wear shoes that grip. The trails are real trails, not paved paths, and the three hours includes the climb.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English, Spanish, French, German, Polish, Hebrew and Dutch.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What is Es Vedrà and why does the hike stop there?
Es Vedrà is a 400-meter limestone rock rising from the sea off Ibiza's southwest coast, visible from most of the island and one of the most iconic landmarks in the Balearics. The hike reaches a vantage point overlooking it, and that is where the seven-minute meditation happens. You sit in front of it and absorb the scale and presence of the place without narration or instruction.
Can I do this hike if I have not hiked before?
The hike requires at least a moderate level of physical fitness because the ancient trails climb and the three hours includes sustained movement. The guide tailors the pace to the group's ability, but the terrain itself is uneven and the ascent is real. If you have cardiovascular concerns, spinal injuries or are pregnant, this hike is not recommended.
What is the difference between the Es Vedrà route and the Atlantis route?
Both routes use the same ancient trails and run three hours, but they lead to different vantage points. The Es Vedrà route ends overlooking the iconic rock formation. The Atlantis route reaches the natural pools known as Atlantis, nested in the landscape. Both end with the seven-minute meditation in front of whichever landmark you chose.
Do I need to bring my own water and snacks?
Water is not provided, so you need to bring your own. The hike is three hours of active movement, so carrying water and any snacks you want is practical. The backpack you receive is fitted to carry what you bring.
