The oldest restaurant in Ibiza sits next to a Michelin-quality tapas bar on the same walking route.

A guided food tour through Ibiza Town and the Old Town (Dalt Vila) where you taste dishes at carefully selected venues (traditional tapas, Ibizan sobrasada sausage, handmade ice cream and local drinks), while a professional guide shares the stories of the chefs and owners behind them. The tour covers about 4 kilometers on pavements, roads and cobbled streets, with the longest single stretch around 10 minutes of walking. Groups stay between 3 and 12 people.

Step-by-step itinerary

Taste local food and explore Dalt Vila

  • Visit hidden local culinary venues
  • Sample traditional tapas and local dishes
  • Enjoy Ibizan sobrasada sausage and drinks
  • Walk through Dalt Vila and learn history
  • Visit a food place in Dalt Vila

The experience

You'll move through Ibiza Town stopping at venues the locals know: a hidden tea-shop, the oldest restaurant on the island, a place serving Michelin-quality tapas, and a handmade ice cream maker. At each stop you taste what the chefs have prepared: traditional tapas, locally sourced dishes, Ibizan sobrasada sausage, and a variety of drinks including wine and beer. The guide tells you the story of each place and the people who run it, the kind of detail that only surfaces when you book a tour like this instead of wandering on your own.

The route then takes you into Dalt Vila, the Old Town, where you walk through cobbled streets and steps while learning historical facts about the area. You might visit another food venue there as well. Because groups are capped at 12 people, you're not herded through. Because the longest walk between stops is about 10 minutes and there are many pauses, the pace stays manageable even if you're not training for a hike.

What’s included

  • Wine, beer and water.
  • professional guide in English or Dutch.
  • all tastings at each venue including traditional tapas, locally sourced dishes, Ibizan sobrasada sausage and handmade ice cream.

Is this one for you? This is a shared group tour with a fixed route and guide, so it suits travelers who want the stories and context behind the food rather than just tasting on their own, and who enjoy meeting other people while they eat. The group dynamic normally makes the experience more fun. If you have mobility issues or use a wheelchair, the cobbled streets and steps in Dalt Vila and the walking between venues make this tour a poor fit. A different food experience in a single accessible location would serve you better.
