You arrive at a meeting point (or the guide picks you up at your accommodation in San Bartolomé de Tirajana), and spend five minutes learning to balance and steer. The Segway handles most of the work. The instruction is short enough that anyone can manage it. Then you ride through the Oasis Maspalomas, where papagayas and other birds move through the dunes, and along the breakwater in front of the lighthouse, where the south coast stretches out in front of you.
