The experience
You're picked up from La Coruña and driven into the wild northern coast of Galicia, where the landscape shifts from town to cliff face. The first stop is Cabo Vilán, the first lighthouse in Spain to get electricity: built that way because the rocks below are so dangerous. From there the route moves through small fishing villages and into Camariñas, where you'll have lunch with local food and see the bobbin lacework the women of the town have made for generations. The guide speaks English, Spanish, Italian or German, and knows the region well enough to answer questions about what you're seeing and adapt the day if something catches your interest.
The second half takes you to Muxía, where the church of the Virxe da Barca and the pedra de abalar mark what many pilgrims consider the last stage of the Camino de Santiago. Then comes Finisterre. The name the Romans gave it, meaning the end of the known world. This is where the second part of the Camino finishes and where many travelers come to watch the last sunset visible from continental Europe. Before heading back, you'll stop at Ézaro, the only waterfall in continental Europe that falls directly into the sea. A boardwalk takes you down to the base of the 80-meter drop, and a viewpoint above gives you the full sweep of the coast.
The 4x4 is air-conditioned and equipped with WiFi, bottled water and phone chargers. You'll get a photographic memento of the day. Because this is a private tour, the itinerary can be adjusted to what matters to you, whether that's more time at one stop, a different lunch spot, or a focus on the Camino history or the geology of the cliffs.

What is Cabo Vilán and why does it matter?

Where do we have lunch and what kind of food is it?
Lunch happens in Camariñas, a small fishing town on the coast, and features local Galician food. The town is also known for its traditional bobbin lacework, which you'll see during the stop.
What makes Finisterre special for pilgrims?

Can I see Ézaro waterfall up close?
