This e-bike tour departs Bilbao and follows a flat, easy route across the Bizkaia Bridge to the Getxo seaside, with a professional local guide leading the first 4 hours through the city's industrial heritage, grand villas, and Algorta's old fishing quarter. After the guided portion ends, you keep the e-bike until the shop closes, free to linger at beaches, cafés and viewpoints or continue riding the coastline on your own terms. The tour includes the bridge toll, helmet, lock, and bike rental; a maximum of 12 riders keeps the group small.

The Experience

The ride starts flat and easy—no steep climbs, no technical sections—which is why it works for all ages and fitness levels. You'll leave the Tourné Bilbao shop with a helmet and lock, then follow your guide through the city's transformation from heavy industry to modern urban renewal. The route passes old shipyards and factories, the physical evidence of what Bilbao was, before arriving at the Bizkaia Bridge. This UNESCO-listed suspension bridge is the crossing point to the coast, and the panoramic views from it are the kind of moment that justifies the whole ride.

Once across, Getxo opens up: the Golden Coast with its grand villas and seaside boulevards, then Algorta's charming old harbour where fishing boats still tie up and the architecture feels authentically Basque. The guide will spend 4 hours with you, pointing out the stories and details that make the route more than just scenery. When the guided portion ends—usually by early afternoon—the guide gives you tips on what to explore next and clear directions for returning the bike.

From that point until the shop closes, the e-bike is yours. Some riders rest by the sea or visit a beach café. Others use the extra time to ride further along the coastline, discovering viewpoints and quieter stretches the group didn't cover. You set the pace and the stops; the bike and the route are still there, waiting.
