The Experience

We stepped onto the sailboat at Port Olímpic just after nine — I still had sunscreen on my hands, which made the ropes slippery when I tried to help. The drive back to Barcelona felt slower, or maybe I just didn’t want it to end yet. My backpack still smells faintly of that cellar — stone dust and sweet wine mixed together.
