The experience
Your guide meets you at the Incheon cruise terminal arrival hall with a name sign, then drives you into Seoul. The day opens at Gyeongbokgung Palace, the largest royal palace in Korea, built 600 years ago. If your ship arrives on a Tuesday, the tour visits Changdeokgung Palace instead. You'll watch the royal guard changing ceremony when it's available, then move on to Jogyesa Temple, the chief temple of the Jogye Order and a major center of Korean Buddhist life in central Seoul.
From there, you walk Insadong, the most famous Korean traditional culture and folk street, lined with handicraft shops, galleries, tea houses and souvenir vendors: a place to pick up unique gifts and see how locals shop. Then comes Namdaemun Market, the largest traditional market in Korea, where stalls sell everything at affordable prices and food alleys draw visitors from around the world. You'll have time to browse and eat on your own before the guide returns you to Incheon cruise terminal to meet your ship.
