Ziplining in Kruger National Park: Quad bike and zipline combo

The zipline here is the first one ever built in Hoedspruit.

A 1-hour quad bike safari through a private reserve in Kruger National Park, guided through trails with views of the Drakensberg Mountains and wildlife including giraffe, zebra and buffalo, followed by a zipline ride over the bushveld. Safety gear and a comprehensive briefing are included. Children from age 2 are welcome. Those under 16 ride as passengers on the quad bike. The full experience takes 2 hours.

The experience

You start on a quad bike, riding through scenic trails of the reserve with an experienced guide leading the way. The route climbs toward the highest point of the property, and as you go you get 180° views of the Drakensberg Mountains opening up across the landscape. The guide points out wildlife along the trails (giraffe, zebra, buffalo, ostrich) as the ride unfolds across the bushveld.

Once you reach the top, the quad bike part ends and the zipline begins. This is the first zipline ever installed in Hoedspruit, and it runs down from that highest point over the landscape you just crossed on the ground. You get one ride per person, soaring over the bushveld with the same scenery now visible from above. Safety gear is provided for both the quad bike and the zipline, and you receive a full briefing before you start.

Children under 16 ride as passengers on the quad bikes rather than operating them. Infants sit on an adult's lap. The activity is suitable for all fitness levels, though it is not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries or pregnant travelers. If you want to add lunch after the activity, you can preorder a meal when you book.
