Tandem Paragliding Sedgefield: Video of Your Flight
You sit in a harness seat behind a pilot and film the whole flight yourself.
Tandem paragliding from the hill above Sedgefield near the Map of Africa viewpoint, where you fly clipped securely to an International Standard pilot. The qualified ground crew meets you on-site to explain the procedure and rig your harness, then you launch with a few steps forward and soar on wind and thermals above the Garden Route landscape. A camera mounted to the harness captures the entire flight, and the footage downloads to your phone afterward.
The experience
The flight starts at the hill above Sedgefield near the Map of Africa viewpoint. Ground crew meet you there to complete the indemnity forms and walk through the rigging and safety procedure. They clip you securely into a harness seat, and you stand ready with an International Standard tandem pilot positioned behind you. The launch is just a few steps forward, then you're airborne, sitting in a comfortable seat that keeps you locked in place while the pilot handles the wing.
Most days the flight soars above the hill for several minutes as the pilot uses wind and thermals to gain altitude. You're flying over the sea, lakes and hills of the Garden Route the whole time. A video camera is secured to the harness, so the footage captures what you see and feel during the flight. When it's time to land, you come down either on top of the hill or in the landing zone below. A bus recovers you and brings you back to the top.
The video footage downloads directly to your phone so you can relive the flight at home. The operation has 25 years of flying experience and a safety record the crew stands behind.
