The day starts with a drive into Faifa Mountains, located in Jazan Province in the southwest corner of Saudi Arabia. Unlike many mountains in the region, Fifa's climate stays moderate year-round. After the mountains, the route descends to Jazan City, a port on the Red Sea coast and capital of the Jizan Region. The city sits at the center of large-scale agriculture, known for tropical fruit production: mango, figs, and papaya grow in the surrounding area. You'll visit Jazan Heritage Village, which stands on the southern Corniche and blends past and present architecture, then move to Al Dosaria Castle, an ancient fortress built at an estimated 150 meters above sea level at the center of the city. The castle is supported by four huge towers and dates back centuries.
