The experience
The jet ski sits low in the water and responds to your throttle. You'll pick it up from the pickup point in Doha, then head out onto the Persian Gulf with your guide leading the way. The ride covers 30 minutes of open water, and you'll pass the Doha skyline and The Pearl-Qatar as you go. The guide handles the route. You handle the speed and direction within it.
Before you launch, the guide walks you through the basics: how the throttle works, how to lean into turns, where the kill switch is. You get a life jacket and a brief training session if you're new to jet skis. Bottled water is on hand. The whole thing is built around you being in control of the machine, not sitting as a passenger.
Hotel or location pickup and drop-off means you don't arrange your own transport to the water. The guide speaks English and stays with you throughout. Children from age 2 can ride, though they'll need to be with an adult on a tandem ski.
